About Sheridan Lardner
Sheridan G. Lardner is currently a student at the University of Chicago and on track to obtain his Bachelor’s Degree in 2011 in history and philosophy. While not deeply engrossed in his studies, Sheridan writes and manages the website realistpolitics.com, a collection of his works and thoughts. The site is a reflection of his involvement in the various clubs and organizations on campus: the Maroon Newspaper, martial arts groups, and philosophy meetings. His dedication and passionate pursuit of the intellectual is integral to the site, which concerns works and writings of Edgar Allan Poe, Friedrich Nietzsche, Ambrose Bierce, Tolkien, Joyce, and others. Sheridan's favorite books, On Heroes and Hero Worship, Thus Spoke Zarathustra, The Prince, and various others are discussed herein.
Not content with dedicating all his time to his own works, Sheridan is further committed to his work at the Field Museum of Natural History. He has worked at the museum for the past four years as a teen summer intern, in which position he guided tours, assisted with exhibits, trained new volunteers, told stories, and more. The museum has been extremely grateful for the devotion and commitment he has shown over the years.
